Colours in the spring garden

The plants are setting out with determination into the new year and I hope that they won’t be caught by a late frost. Daffodils, primroses, and hellebores are open everywhere, and in the garden I have Iris Lazica.

  1. Nice to meet another Suffolk gardener, I have Iris lazica too, I think it’s gorgeous. In fact I love all Irises. At the moment I am enjoying Iris bucharica which is a little yellow Juno.

    • And nice to meet you too! I like your yellow iris, but I don’t have any more room – mine is a small garden. And if you are in the vicinity of Cratfield on 14 & 15 June this garden, and nine others, will be open during the Cratfield Open Weekend. The garden was built from scratch three years ago and there are pictures of the development on the site. Cratfield has its own website at http://cratfield.wordpress.com I hope to meet you in person, perhaps?

I'd love to hear from you!
