Southwark Park

Southwark Park opened in 1869, designed by George Vulliamy and Alexander MacKenzie and covering 63 acres. I visited on two rather gloomy days and found a beautiful, and unexpected area opposite the Surrey Quays Shopping Complex.

The Ada Salter Rose Garden was created in 1934 but the roses have disappeared, replaced by a well-kept and interesting small garden.
