Early June in the City Garden

It is a long time since I posted here, and even longer since I contributed to Six on Saturday. So, time to start again with early June in the City Garden.

I have been busy finishing another book! Green Greenwich is now ready to join Green Lewisham.

The garden is surprisingly happy in spite of the lack of rain. It is June and so the hydrangeas are starting to flower.

At the back I have two tubs of grasses, with dianthus, because I enjoy the scent as I open the door in the mornings!

I am waiting to have a new bed created in the lawn and in the meantime accumulating plants, including arum lilies.

Lots of Arum lilies

And then there is the need for a bit of โ€˜blingโ€™ with geraniums!

And for the first time in many, many years I may be able to harvest some damsons!

And that is the City Garden in early June! Looking back, I realise that it has changed quite a lot over the years.
