The Middle-Sized Garden listed plants today which are good for late summer interest in the garden, but didn’t listĀ Japanese AnemonesĀ and I would like to add those to the list as they are looking absolutely wonderful right now! I have been thinking about the idea of ‘succession planting’ and so The Middle-Sized Garden suggestions are very helpful.
And what about berries? The Viburnum Opulus ‘Compactum’ is covered in bunches of bright orange berries.
And then there are the sedums, which are just starting to colour – ‘Autumn Joy’, ‘Indian Chief’, and ‘Purple Emperor’.
And the Heuchera ‘Purple Palace’ seems just as fresh as when they started!
